  On April 6th 2013 Sarah Groves was tragically murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir. The devastation and grief caused by this inexplicable event has been indescribable. Hundreds, if not thousands of people have been affected emotionally and some are receiving counselling as a direct result.

Due to Sarah's insatiable love of life however, together with her desire to make a change in the world, and her determination to help as many people as she could, the Sarah Groves Foundation has been set up in Guernsey as a Charitable Trust. It is focusing on Sarah's inspirations and aspirations, which came from art, children, adventure, and fitness. This fund will continue Sarah's legacy, which is all about love, helping others, and achieving ones dreams. Under the category of “fitness”, a 1200 mile bike ride between Guernsey – Rome –Guernsey will be supported by the Foundation in order to raise funds to support its overall aims.
The Naked Leaf Tour De Sez 2021 will take place in September. It will last for 11 days and will comprise 100 amazing like-minded individuals cycling to Rome before returning to Guernsey. This will be undertaken with full support facilities throughout.

I am a provisional member of the 2021 team and am extremely proud to be so; however, I need to reach the minimum target of £2,000 in sponsorship for me to actually take part. Any donation will be very much appreciated and I thank you very kindly from the bottom of my heart. 

We are going to put ourselves through this incredible challenge in order to raise as much money as possible for The Sarah Groves Foundation. We are not an elite group of cyclists, far from it. If anyone knows me in my yesteryears, this is something I would turn my back to due to such hard work, but people change and I too feel life is to be lived and explored with amazing experiences such as this. Collectively we are all incredibly motivated and together will ride between Guernsey – Rome - Guernsey. We as a team are going to do something never attempted from these shores before, but we all have an incredible motivation to make this challenge become a reality and for ourselves to live a life less ordinary, just like Sarah.
