Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page.
In June, I will be trekking a grueling 50 miles across the spectacular Pennine hills in under 24 hours in a team of four. We will start at 7am on Saturday 22 June 2013, navigating our way around the 50 mile route which includes almost 8,000 feet of ascents, the equivalent of climbing Snowdon (3,560ft) and Ben Nevis (4,409ft).
We are raising money to support MedEquip4Kids which is a children’s charity who raises money to provide pediatric medical equipment and facilities for hospitals and community health teams. They provide specialist equipment that is proven to improve the care provided to children, but that is not readily available on the NHS.
Their aim is to help ensure babies, children and teenagers receive the best possible care when sick or injured.
They have supported many projects and are constantly trying to raise more money to support other causes throughout the country
Some of the current projects include:
- New Children’s A&E at Fairfield General Hospital (£55,800)
- ECG Machine for Stepping Hill Hospital (£10,200)
- Multisensory room for Wigan Infirmary (£14,000)
- Fetal Dopplers for Trafford General Hospital (£1,255)
- Portable suction pump for Werrington Clinic (£540.00)
Please dig deep and help to support Medequip4kids, who have made a such a huge impact to so may people’s lives.
