My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Starting on 7 July 2012 Jim Bewick and Michael Fitch plan to cycle 900 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats, the length of Great Britain, to raise awareness and money for Biblica. This is a HUGE personal challenge for both of us, much like the challenge to bring HOPE to hopeless people all over the world.

The money raised will all be used for three particular projects, (Jim and Michael will pay their own costs):

·     One Million Bibles for China in contemporary Chinese for communities all over the world. (£2 pays for one Bible) This is a £2m three year project to bring HOPE to China and its people.

·     Making Bibles available in digital and audio formats for the largest 30 languages, making the Bible accessible to over 50% of the world’s population in their heart language, in a format which can be widely accessed with ease including the 70%+ who can’t read and write. This is a £4.5m three year project which has just been launched to reach potentially 3.5bn people with the Bible’s message of HOPE.

·      Reach4Life HIV prevention programme run by Biblica and its partners which has brought HOPE to tens of thousands of young people in Africa, Asia and Europe.

You can get up to date information on our blog http://bigbikehike.wordpress.com.

You can donate by:

·         sending cheques payable to “Biblica” to Michael Fitch, Gordon Street Mews 27-29 Gordon Street BELFAST BT1 2LG, or

·         texting HOPE96 along with a donation amount of £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070 (example text HOPE96 £10 to the number 70070), or

·         credit card or debit card or PayPal through Just Giving

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Biblica and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for Biblica.

Thank you for your support and generosity bringing HOPE to the world through Biblica.
