My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over 24 hours on May 13th Rob 'the nose', Lee 'the ears', Mal 'the muscle' and myself Jonny 'the metal' will seek out as many species of bird as possible on the East Anglian peninsula.
This will be our Big Bird Race.
In doing so we hope to raise as much money as possible for the RSPB their current campaigns and of course the management of their reserves both in East Anglian and beyond.
We are supporting two campaigns in particular one for Turtle Doves and another in support of the RSPB's vital Sumatran Rainforest work.

Two very worthy campaigns so please support our fundraising. If you think we cannot tell our turkeys from our our tits then be brave and sponsor £5 per species, maybe even £10!
If you think we'll rack up the species by the hundred then maybe pence would be better!
In any instance donate what you can and it will be very, very gratefully received.
On the big day no birds will be harmed or unduly interfered with, all rares will be suppressed & any personal or human harm inflicted is our fault alone and not assocaited with any other organisations or groups.

Yesterday was hugely enjoyable - we encountered 145 species across Suffolk & Norfolk. With the undoubted highlight all five of the owls - including both short and long-eared. Surprises were a summer plumaged Black-necked Grebe & Red Kite! Thanks to all for the donations to date.
