Three Peaks Challenge 2009 · 15 August 2009 ·

The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

Hi there!

Thanks for visiting my sponsorship page.

On 15th August 2009 myself along with some other lucky lucky people will be attempting the 3 peaks challenge.

This is a massive challenge for me & my husband Jon, not to mention the other BigChoice Grp bods that are taking part. There are 7 of us in total: Simon Andrews, Nick Cambden, Pete Burnham, Inam Mahmood and Alex Sweetman.

The reason we are participating in this huge challenge is to raise money for the Sarah Matheson Trust, which is a charity support organisation very close to my heart.

In September 2008 my dad was diagnosed with MSA, which is a terminal illness. Multiple System Atrophy is a progressive neurological disorder which is caused by degenerative nerve cells in the brain. The illness causes loss of balance, movement, speech and many more automatic functions of the body.

There is no known cure for MSA, however by raising funds for the Sarah Matheson Trust they are able to offer support for those with MSA, their families and their carers.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Thank you x
