We did it!

Thanks to the support so many of you kindly provided, I’m delighted to say we attained both of our goals - raising £5001 plus £455 in GiftAid, and finishing the marathon. Many, many thanks for your generosity once again.  Truly humbled by your support and kindness.  Fight for Sight is making a huge difference in defeating any number of eye diseases, and with our help can continue to maintain their great work.

It was a warm run for London, and a number of people didn’t hydrate properly, causing an unusual number of collapses – I even caught a woman on her way to the deck! And with a record turnout, the course was pretty packed the whole way around. I pulled up next to a chap wearing a man-kini and asked “how’s the chaffing?” He turned, and with an air of pain and uncertainty, simply answered “bad”.
