In September 2010 I cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End with my friend Ian Flemming and his brother in law Ian Dickinson.  We covered the distance of around 950 miles in 13 days.  The trip was self-funded and we all had a great time along the way.

I am dedicating the adventure to the memory of Alison Douglas who tragically died earlier in 2010.  I first met Ali in 1977 soon after arriving in Sheffield, and as it turned out I married her house-mate! Ali was a true inspiration throughout her life as a teacher, activist, artist and enthusiastic athlete. She spent her last days in the excellent care of St Luke's Hospice, so I want to raise as much as possible to support their work.  I have set a target of £2,000.00 and hope with your help I can exceed it!  Every penny will be used by St Luke's Hospice to support the wonderful work they do in the Sheffield area.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
