Bilal's Brecons Challenge

Brecons Challenge · 9 June 2018
First of all, thank you for taking notice because my aim is to
spread awareness of Mental Health illnesses, so even if you are viewing the
page that is good enough for me. However, it would be even better if you can
support me by donating any kind of money you have available to spare, to help
raise funds for a type of illness that can affect and most likely
will affect every single one of us at some point in our lives.
Depression, anxiety and panic attacks and many other signs of mental
illness are not signs of weakness, they are signs of trying to remain strong
for far too long.
Mental illness is nothing to be ashamed of, neither is talking about it! As
a society we need to talk more and do more to help one another.
If you have been or are currently feeling like you are being affected then
speak with someone, share your concerns with family, friends, professionals or
with Mental Health UK. Check out Mental Health UK on www.mentalhealth-uk.org on there you
will find so much support about the more common conditions and much
more!
I will be taking part in a gruesome 10 hour
trek, the full traverse of the Black Mountains of Brecon Beacons in Wales on the 8th of June. A total of 20
miles will be completed and would mean i would be at heights of 3900ft and over! I aim to smash my target of £100, my personal goal is to reach 300 and with your help I know I can achieve that and it will spur me on when it gets tough!. My workplace will then match the funds I raise to the total of £500! If I can somehow manage to
reach £500 in donations, it would mean our total contribution would be £1000!
