Clipper Round The World 11-12 · 15 November 2011

The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

My family and friends were generous enough on my 50th birthday to enable me to take part in the Clipper Round The World Yacht race 11-12. I will race in Leg 4 from Western Australia to New Zealand and back to the east coast of Australia. In all about 4,200 miles over nearly 30 days at sea, starting mid November 2011.

I am dedicating this to a great mate, Cate Sutcliffe, who sadly died a few years ago following a brain hemorrhage. Cate was in her early 30's. So, anything that I can help to raise will go to the Brain Research Trust which is a marvellous charity doing invaluable work into an area still cloaked in a lot of mystery. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Thank You.
