Rev Bill Taylor recently completed a 150 mile walk from Ripon to Oundle with his friend David Wills. They retraced the steps taken by monks who carried Saint Wilfrid's body from the monastery he had founded at Oundle to Ripon after his death some 1300 years ago. Aside from proving to himself that he could still complete a marathon walk (something Bill has been known to do before) he wanted to raise money for the Turquoise Mountain Foundation in Afghanistan. Turquoise Mountain is working to restore the historic centre of Kabul, bringing clinics, schools, clean drinking water and training to Afghan men and women.

Do visit the Turquoise Mountain website using the link on this page to learn more about the wonderful work of this charity. http://tempuri.org/tempuri.html

Many thanks for visiting Bill's fundraising page.
