Macmillan - Longest Day Golf Challenge 2012 · 21 June 2012 ·

At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

On the 30th June we will be carrying out the ultimate golfing challenge - 4 rounds of golf over 4 different courses on one day.  Starting at 6am we will be tee-ing off from San Lorenzo Golf Course in the Algarve, Portugal, followed by Quinta do Lago's Laranjal Course (voted #1 in Portugal in 2011), then onto Pinheiros Altos to play the Pines and Olives.  Of course we will be walking and inevitably it will be between 30 and 40 degrees celcius (ca. 100 Farenheit for our American sponsors!).

We are going to need all our strength and willpower to complete this gruelling challenge... 72 holes... 300 shots (probably more)... 20 miles...

We are looking to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support UK.  Macmillan improves the lives of those diagnosed with cancer and they need our support.  For more information on Macmillan please go to:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.  We'll keep you updated with photos and videos from the day!

Thanks!
