Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fund raising page. Amazingly, every year over 130,000 people in the UK have a stroke, and it is the third most common cause of death in this country. They are also the single most common cause of severe disability; although many people are over 65, it can happen to anyone, and indeed two of our friends (under the age of 40) have suffered in this way.

By taking part in this ride from City Hall to Hampton Court (a mere 32-odd miles ... oh good grief, what ARE we doing ... ???), we are hoping to have an enjoyable day out - but we would obviously be delighted if we could raise some money too.

Unless you are intending to throw pound coins at us en route, donating via this site is the easiest way to contribute - and if you are a UK taxpayer, the Stroke Association can receive an extra 28% from your donation, with no cost to you (hurrah!).

Thanks again for taking the trouble to visit this page, and for your support.
