BioReliance have taken inspiration from their employees and have set up an easy to use online fund to allow employees to contribute to the relief fund. For every £1 donated by employees BioReliance will contribute a further 50p to the fund.

Why we need your help

A devastating earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale struck on 12 January 2010. It is estimated that at least 50,000 people have died and more than 250,000 people are affected. The earthquake, which hit the capital and nearby areas, is reported to be the worst quake to strike the country in 200 years. The most affected area is 's with an official population of 2.2 million, although thousands more people were living in shanty towns around the city which have completely collapsed.

Funding is urgently needed to provide hospital care, clean water, food and emergency shelter.

Dear colleagues,

As was noted in an email to you late Friday, BioReliance will be participating in raising funds to provide aid to those in who have lost so much during the past week.  We have decided to use the Just Giving Web Site to collate the donations, and allow the company to calculate the amount to match.

We will donate the money through the British Red Cross and will utilize the following process in the to receive employee donations.  

The campaign will commence today and will be in place through close of business Wednesday, February 3rd.

If you wish to contribute to the Haiti Disaster Relief campaign, please add your donation to this Just Giving Web Page, also highlight your Gift Aid agreement if you like.

At the end of the campaign, we will tally the total funds contributed and BioReliance will write a cheque matching 50p for each pound given by our employees.
