Laura, Sui-Mee and Amelia are walking the Martlets Midnight Walk 13 miles around Brighton and Hove on Friday June 18th in memory of our friend and colleague Sarah Birchmore. 

Sarah was a dynamic and optimistic person -  any time spent in her company was guaranteed to be filled with lots of laughter. None of this changed after she was diagnosed with cancer late last year, and it was thanks to Martlets, a fantastic local Brighton & Hove charity, that she was able to retain the independence she valued so fiercely.

Martlets provides care to terminally ill adults, with a mission to support patient choice, dignity and independence in all they do. They allowed Sarah to have more choices in the way she lived and helped ensure she spent as much time as possible at home, amongst friends and family.  All their services are provided free of charge and they rely on local community support to continue their work.  You can read more at http://www.themartlets.org.uk/.
