My story
Ashley and I have been keen supporters of the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust for many years - they are even responsible for us meeting and becoming friends.... awwww.
Historically, you would have found us up bright and early on a very cold (yes, it was always cold!) Saturday/Sunday morning enthusiastically, if not overly skillfully, engaging in activities such as hedge-laying or scrub clearing. This time we thought we would go for something a little easier (!) and have signed up to do the Sarsen Trail (yes, another early, cold and, probably wet, morning start!) - a 26 mile cycle ride in an attempt to raise some money for the Trust on their 50th birthday. We have even managed to convince Ruth & Vicky to join us on this challenge - it will be a challenge since none of us have really bonded with our bikes yet this "summer" so sore bottoms all round......
To support us on our merry way if you could sponsor us a couple of pounds that would be much appreciated by us all and even more so by the Trust. They work incredibly hard to protect the wildlife and environment of Wiltshire in increasingly difficult economic conditions.

We made it despite the lack of smooth terrain & number of mega hills. Thank you to WWT for a fantastically organised day & to everyone who sponsored & encouraged us. We really appreciate it. For those of you waiting to see if we made it, there is still time to make that donation!
After weeks of torrential rain the gods were smiling on us as we headed off on our bike challenge. The initial uphill section across a field had us panicked but that was nothing compared with what was to come.....hills, stones, grass, dogs, runners and the odd deer!
We have had an amazing response to our fundrasing efforts so far. Thank you very much to those of you who have already sponsored us - we have smashed our target. Thank you again :-) No excuse though, to those who want to sponsor us but haven't yet - what are you waiting for....
