My story

LATEST NEWS................Well we have done it! We drove every inch of the 10,000 miles without any serious breakdowns. We saw some incredible sights and met fascinating people. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and those who are donating still now.

Charlie and Nellie have entered the 4th Peking to Paris endurance rally in an 85 year old Vauxhall, along with 100 other vintage and classic cars. The route is over 9,000 miles, starting in Beijing on September 10th and finishing in Paris (hopefully) on 16th October.

We are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust Addenbrooke's Appeal. This is the first TCT unit for East Anglia, providing 11 in-patient beds plus out-patient and day care facilities, open-plan social and recreation areas, a kitchen and dining area for patients and parents.

All costs of getting the car ready and ourselves to China have been borne by us, so everything raised will go directly to Teenage Cancer Trust.

To add some spice, we will match the first £5,000 raised.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Charity Registration No. 1062559

Every day in the UK, six teenagers are diagnosed with cancer. At Teenage Cancer Trust, we understand that cancer doesn’t stop these teenagers being teenagers. We know that young people have a much better chance if they are treated by teenage cancers experts, in an environment tailored to their needs. So we have created specialist units that aren’t like ordinary cancer wards. Everything about them has been designed to give teenagers the very best chance of a positive outcome. And we want every young person with cancer in this country to have that chance.
