****UPDATE 24/11/2010
At the awards ceremony last night we became the second highest fundraisers in the history of Jailbreak. So a massive thank you again to everyone who donated. We couldn't have got that title without you! x
****UPDATE 1/11/2010
April and I would like to thank all of you who have donated to this extremely good cause so far. The trip was a great success (we made it as far as Amsterdam) and we even blagged free food and coffee, as well as a couple of airport cosmetics along the way! However we are still fundraising until mid december. So once again, a huge thanks and do keep spreading the word to help us reach our target!
x
Hello
At 3pm on Friday 29th October 2010, April and I will be taking part in a 'jailbreak' event, starting at the the Barnes Wallis building of the University of Manchester. Our mode of transport is unplanned and our final destination is unknown. The aim is to get as far away from Manchester as possible within 30 hours using no money of our own - how far we get will rely solely on charm and 'blagging' skills - hopefully resulting in a spontaneous adventure, all in aid of charity. Past students have made it as far as Cornwall, New York.. We will do our absolute best but the more money raised, the better!
More info on KidScan can be found at http://www.kidscan.org.uk/
Any donation, big or small, would be fantastic and can be done either online via the link on this site OR if you would rather sponsor us by a suggested amount e.g. per mile travelled, this can be arranged through the facebook page. It's up to you.. any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Big love and thank you.
G and April x
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
