Story
Ovarian cancer is sadly sometimes known as 'the silent killer'. However many of the 1 in 60 women who contract this cancer in the UK will enjoy a good period of quality life with friends and families after diagnosis, as my wife Carol did. Support during this time is essential to raise confidence, reduce fear, understand treatment and enjoy quality life. This fundraising walk will enable GO Girls to start to establish a helpline so that patients can share their concerns and ask questions of a specialist nurse so enabling them to live with their condition to the fullest possible extent. £3000 will pay for 100 hours of support time. Much more will be needed to maintain the service but do please support me to in helping GO Girls start this life enhancing project for the sake of the patients but also their loved ones. Cancers affect all of us regardless of gender!
