The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

In February of this year my wife lost her mum after a 4 year battle with cancer. Throughout that time the Macmillan staff were a tremendous support to the family. I've been looking for a way to raise money to support the fantastic work they do and to honour Sandra's memory.

Sandra was born and raised in the highlands and Glencoe in particular was one of her favourite places, so it's appropriate that this will be the location of my fundraising attempt. In order to raise money, I'll be throwing myself down a mountain for seven hours on my bike, completing as many laps as possible of the course. Here's a little sneak peak at what I've let myself in for:

Cancer is a terrible illness and the statistics mean it will impact pretty much everyone at some point in their lives, either directly or through their loved ones. The Macmillan staff provide amazing support to anyone whose life has been impacted by this terrible disease, and this is just my little way of giving something back for all the support they offered Sandra and the family throughout her illness.

I know times are tough for everyone at the moment but it would be awesome if you could spare a couple of pounds for an absolutely brilliant cause. Thanks in advance for your donation.
