Story
I would like to introduce you all to Bobby who was diagnosed with cancer on 7th August 2017, just 2 days after his 3rd birthday. The tumour he has is called neuroblastoma, It is situated on his kidney which he will more than likely lose.
He's got to have 6 intensive chemotherapy sessions with surgery in between, then radio therapy.
100 children a year are diagnosed with this type of cancer. The tumour is 12.5 cm round and is exclusive to children. They do aim to cure, but its never certain.
He will suffer life long side affects which are quite likely but not 100% guaranteed to happen, they include infertility, a defective heart, a risk of developing leukaemia, his spinal growth will also be affected due to the radio treatment and so on.
The struggle he's had already is a hard one for us all to witness, Its heart breaking everyday to see the effects that the treatment has on his little body.
As a family we long for the day he can ring the end of treatment remission bell on ward E39, then and only then can we start to rebuild our lives and have the good days back.
Along with a group of friends we are going to participate in the great north run which is 13 miles long! A half marathon! This is to raise as much money as we can for CLIC Sargent, they do amazing work and offer tremendous support for young children fighting this horrible disease.
So please share as much as possible to get the word out of what we are striving to achieve and donate as much or as little as you can, as a well known company states "Every Little Helps" thank you for taking the time to read this & please support by sharing as far & wide as possible
