As most of you will know, I spent most of last year working in a home for Bolivian street girls as part of a charity called Operation Restoration, a wonderful experience that put me in touch with a project that is completely turning people's lives around. In the home for girls that I worked in, El Alfarero, a great emphasis is placed on the way that education can be used to give the girls a future, and a career that they could never have managed before. However, at present they lack a facility in the girls home to teach computer literacy, which is more and more important in today's world.
I, therefore, would like to raise some money to buy a couple of computers for the home, which would make a huge difference for the girls lives. I'm going to be doing a 'week without technology' (no computer, no phone, no TV, no games consules etc) at a week still to specified probably in early January.
I would really love it if people would consider sponsoring me over the website, or if not, then giving me the money in person. You can be a part of changing these girls lives, and giving theme the skills that they will need in the future!
