Story
There's something about throwing yourself out of a plane at 13,000 feet that some might find exhilarating… or terrifying.
Well, for which ever of those reasons you’ll be able to see me hurtling through the sky on the 4 June of this year. Hopefully I’ll be picking up some money for charity on my way down.
I’ll be doing this with a friend, her page can be found here: www.justgiving.com/kathryn-taylor2
My chosen charity is Help for Heroes, for those of you who don’t know, here’s a little background.
Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is simple: “We are strictly non political and non critical; we simply want to help”. We believe that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better.
So if you want to give a little recognition to the service men and women of our country then please pledge whatever money you can.
Couple of quid? Fiver? Maybe even a tenner. Whatever it is, your charitable donation can help improve the lives of our heroes.
