Nikki and I are both running the Hull and York 10k's for Yorkshire Cancer Research and the British Thyroid Foundation.  Nikki works for YCR and I have raised money for them several times because they do vital research into the causes and treatment of cancer.  Nikki has had problems with her thyroid for several years and works on a voluntary basis for the charity.  One in 20 people are affected by Thyroid disorders.
