We undertake global conservation work to ensure people and nature both thrive

Story

Brampton is working closely with the WWF to raise funds to protect the endangered African elephant and the College's Charitable Trust has already donated £2000 (offline) and is committed to match funding all further donations.

Last term, our first year A level students attended an excellent Zoom talk from the WWF about the plight of these elephants, and how poaching and the destruction of their habitat has lead to a sharp decrease in their numbers in recent years. The College has ‘adopted’ some of these elephants, and these funds will pay to train and equip community scouts who patrol the areas within the vast Mau-Mara-Serengeti region that are most vulnerable to illegal activity, including logging and poaching.  You are able to read more about the valuable work they are doing on their website wwf.org.uk. If you would be interested in joining us in supporting the WWF’s endeavours to ensure these magnificent animals escape extinction.
