Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

British Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have time and again made considerable sacrifices as they have pursued the overall missions given to them by the British Government.  The operational conditions have been harsh not to the mention the constant level of danger that the young men and women serving units face, all the time apart from family and friends in the UK.  The cost of these wars goes beyond the loss of life.  Young soldiers suffer horrific injuries which will stay with them for the rest of their lives.  Not to mention the psychological cost.

I was lucky enough to serve for 3 years in a Territorial Army Infantry Regiment which is now part of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.  I have enormous respect for the work our armed forces do.  As such I have decided to ask you to help me raise money for the Royal Regiment of Scotland Regimental Association.  This organisation focuses on the ongoing welfare of serving and ex-serving members of the regiment and their families.  I will be taking part in a 10 km fun run in Manuden on the 3rd October to "earn" my sponsorship.

Please give generously.

Thanks,

Brian
