Optometry Giving Sight is a global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error – simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

Story

Being a bit of a fitness freak, I liked the sound of being challenged by one of the Tour de France stages.  I would like to have done the whole stage but know that I am not up to it just yet.  For me the 100KM option will be a big challenge as to date I have only done 50KM at one time whilst training.  I am hopeful that replacing my 28 year old Raleigh with something more modern will help me with both the speed and stamina.

A new challenge whilst being given the opportunity to raise money for a good cause.  It sounded like a good idea at the time.  Please help me to make it worthwhile.
