Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, rising to 20,000 feet (5900m) above the plains of Tanzania. In January, I and a few other fools climbed it for charity. We started in tropical forest and four days later were at nearly 6000m in rarified atmosphere at -35C! I was one of those who made it to the top - and back down again!
We are raisng funds for Rotary Polio Plus - a fund to continue the fight to eradicate the world of Polio (only four countries left, we are nearly there) - and, in my case, Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Appeal - a Northamptonshire based charity (Hence Kili or Bust!).
Our average age is considerably higher than the norm for this kind of challenge and we needed your help to get us to the top! We have paid all our expenses for the trip, so all money raised will go direct to the good causes.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks!
Brian May
