<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit this Just Giving Page. Following&nbsp; my successful second kidney transplant in February 2010, just 6 months later I was healthy and fit enough to be able&nbsp;to compete&nbsp;in the British Transplant Games which were held in Bath. At the Games my achievements were recognised by&nbsp;the fact that I&nbsp;jointly received the Andrew Raftery Trophy for the best achieving new transplantee. (This is specific to people who have been transplanted&nbsp;within 12 months of the Games.) &nbsp;</p> <p>Even more of a surprise came upon my return home when I was honoured to receive an invitation to represent the UK at the 18th World Transplant Games to be held in&nbsp;Sweden in June&nbsp;2011. This invitation was in recognition of my successful sporting performance at the British&nbsp;Games.&nbsp;Once again I will&nbsp;be a member of the UK Volleyball Team and I will be competing individually in swimming events.
