Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello folks. I know its a pain being asked to sponsor someone but I hope you all give to help the Sturge Weber foundation. Young Oliver here who is my great nephew has the condition and deserves all the help you can give him.

This is a rare neurological disorder of unknown incidence and origin; although present at birth, it is NOT thought to be hereditary. Sturge Weber is usually indicated by a birthmark (port wine stain) somewhere on the face, usually involving the eye and forehead, also similar blood vessels on the brain, called an angioma. Those who suffer from SW often suffer from epilepsy, hemiplegia (a weakness or stiffness affecting one side of the body, similar in appearance to that of a stroke), glaucoma and learning difficulties. Symptoms usually occur in the child`s first year of life

If you've spent the time reading this page then just a little while longer to donate won't hurt and we would be sooooo grateful.

And to all those Doubting Thomases who think I can't run/walk/stagger/crawl 10ks I suggest you add a couple of quid to your donation just to make up for your disbelief.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
