Brian Lear is a renowned British Show Jumping course builder and top producer of competition horses in the south east. Tragically his lorry ramp collapsed on him at The Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, he was taken to The Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, before being transferred to The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, Middlesex. Brian has crushed two vertebrae, cracked five others, and he has extensive spinal cord damage, right now the prognosis is poor, Brian currently has no feeling from the waist down.
Any donations recieved from this page will go to Aspire - a charity set up to help patients and families affected by spinal cord damage. Aspire will then allow Brian and his family access to the money when they wish to purchase something, from a laptop to modifying Brians home for wheelchair access. Aspire have a rehabilitation centre at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where Brian is, and they will provide Brian with anything he wants!
Brian is now seeing visitors, but please liase with his wife Jan, who is organising the visits, as the hospital are very strict with visiting hours and number of people in the ward etc. Visiting hours are 4 PM - 8 PM
