On the trail again, I really am getting a bit old for this game. But "IndependentAge" previously known as "Rukba" have challenged me to raise a Minimum of £3,000 not an easy task. The second part of the challenge is to trek in Peru through a variety of terrains & climates with basic food and a tent to sleep in. Trekking up to hights of 4400 meters. A daunting task for myself who will be 77years old with two replacement knees as a handicap. I know how hard it is going to be as I have just completed a trek for SSAFA Forces Help in the Himalaya, Nepal. Up to hights of 4,000 meters where altitude sickness creeps up on you. But it will all be worthwhile if with your help I can raise this money for "IndependentAge". Who for over 140 years have championed independence for older people giving priority to those who have helped others, Giving friendship and practical support, enableing older people in financial difficulty to live independent lives with dignity and peace of mind.
