I have been a supporter of Grove House, our local day hospice, for many years. A very close friend of mine had cause to use their services and also of St Francis in Berkhamsted before her death in 2009 and they were wonderful. Having supported them in various small ways when I saw details of their Himalayan Challenge I decided I needed to get out of my comfort zone. They do such good work and help so many people but can do this and expand their services as they want and need to, only if they have the money. I have already met some of the people who will be doing the challenge with me and feel very privileged to be involved with them on this project. We shall be doing volunteer work at a Cancer Centre in Delhi, and then trekking for 3 days, sleeping in tents en route - now that will be a challenge in itself for me!
I do hope you will feel able to sponsor me to help Grove House and keep me focused when the training gets hard and on that 3rd day of trekking.
