I am traveling to Kisumu this summer as a member of KOP. HIV/AIDS and poverty is still a major issue in many parts of sub-Saharan Africa and many young children have been orphaned as a result. Tackling poverty and making sure everyone has access to basic amenities such as food, clean water, education and medical services is an issue close to my heart- therefore, I am a member of KOP to make a small step towards changing something I believe needs improving. 100% of the money I fundraise will go towards providing for the children at the orphanage I will be working at. I will be working in feeding centres, getting involved in educational projects, teaching the children about life skills, health and safety and doing lots of playing- giving the children lots of fun, love and attention!

To fundraise for this charity, I will be running the Great Manchester 10k run in May. I am doing lots of training for this event- I go on runs about three times a week- no more weekend lie-ins for me!
