Hi there friends, family, and eager spectators of the Mongol Rally,

On July 13th, 2013, Team "Yes We Khan" which includes myself, Brent Lucia, and Hilton Lowry, will be driving a compact car from London to Mongolia. That's 10,000 miles -- 1/3 of the Earth's surface. The Mongol Rally is not a vacation. We'll be taking on some of the world's most challenging terrain, driving through desserts, mountains, and cities where they drive on the left side of the road which might be the scarriest part of all. 

Why are we submitting ourselves to all of this, you ask? Well, for the adventure of a lifetime. But also, and more importantly, for charity.

Cool Earth is this year's official Mongol Rally Charity and the organization is working to save rainforests all over the world. They're fighting for the idea that,

"that rainforests are worth much more to the human race left standing, helping to cool the planet, than they are cut down for timber or burnt to clear land for cattle ranching."

So every time we bottom out in a pothole, nearly sink in a river crossing, and forget to buy candy for long legs of boring roads, we'll press forward because we're doing all of this for a fantastic cause!
