Step Up 2017 · 16 January 2017

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are just over half way through the challenge and the team have clocked over one million steps. Who'd have thought.

Our team is doing the Capita Step Challenge - Step Up - to raise money for The Prince’s Trust.  The Team is; Chris Willshaw, Craig Mills, David Hughes, David Pritty (Team Captain), Lois Ashton and Sue Urmston.  We work for Pay360 by Capita and most of us are based in the Oldham office.

The challenge is a virtual walk (or run) between Capita’s UK offices – from London to Cardiff to Belfast to Stirling.  This route is approximately 630 miles, which is around 1,260,000 steps and will be achieved with roughly 10,000 steps a day for each team member participating.

Step Up will run from Monday 16th January to Friday 10th February, with all funds raised being donated to our corporate charity partner, The Prince’s Trust.

Last year’s Step Challenge raised an incredible £58,000 for The Prince’s Trust.  Almost 200 teams (with around 1,170 participants) took part, walking a total of 273 million steps. Now the bar has been set, we would like to go above and beyond with Step Up and ask for your support
