Evora Hospice, formerly Southern Area Hospice Services, helps patients with life-limiting conditions live well from diagnosis to end-of-life, providing care tailored to each person's unique needs, wishes, and quality of life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Southern Area Hospice Services (SAHS) provides invaluable support and care to people living within the Southern Health Board Area, who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and other terminal illnesses.

I feel very privileged to work at the Hospice. I know how special a place it is and how it helps the many families we have contact with. The Hospice is more than a haven for the termimally ill - we reach out to anyone touched by cancer and other illness, and offer counselling, benefit help, bereavement services, group meetings, and a place families can come to when they need support from people who understand.

The Glendalough walk is one of many fundraising events we do. As a charity, we have to raise over 70% of our own funding. I'm looking forward to doing the walk - well, sort of! ;-) - and contributing to that total.

These are tough times for any charity and I know it's hard for everyone, so anything you can contribute would be so appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Hospice and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the Hospice.
