We are eight of Brook’s young volunteers and we’d like to thank you for choosing to support Brook and the Sex:Positive campaign.
To support Brook’s work improving young people’s lives, we will be making a 10k Sex:Positive journey through London visiting important landmarks that illustrate some of the influences – good and bad – on young people’s lives. During each leg of the walk we will be telling people about our campaign, and the other work that we do. The walk will end at the Brook Centre in Southwark, where we will celebrate Brook’s important work with some of the people who have supported and fought for young people with us over the years.
Sex:Positive is a campaign created and led by young people. Many young people can’t imagine a society where their sexual behaviour isn’t demonised, judged or ignored. Sex:Positive is taking a stand against these negative attitudes by replacing them with a positive approach that is empowering and we are asking society to do the same.
The money that you donate will go towards creating a Sex:Positive future. It will go directly to projects working with young people, the development of new and innovative projects, and improving Brook’s services to young people. It will also help us to build young people’s self confidence, enable them to make safer, healthier choices about sex and protect them from harm.
