Im Bruce Peck im 29 and live in Norfolk England, a couple of years ago I climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and I have sort of court the bug for do strange and wonderful things.

Because of this I decided I needed a new challenge and wanted to see something new a couple of people I did Kili with suggested Everest Base Camp and Trekking to it and the idea was formed.

The trek is booked and will take place between the 8th October 2012 and 19th October 2012 over the course of these days we will trek up though the surrounding valleys and mountains to we reach the base camp were we will take in the vast magnificance of Mount Everest share a few stories with other climbers and trekkers there and then make our way back down the way we came. It is rated as very challenging trek due to the altitude I will be walking at, the steep climbs and the amount of time it will take.

I choose to raise some money for this charity for personal reasons as I have personally effected by both Alzhemimers and Dementia in my family. My Nan Jean Porter died of Alzheimers 10 years ago and my Grandad has just died and spent the last few years of his life suffering with Dementia. I know how horrible these are and what they do to people and anything I can do to help them raise some money into helping cure them is worth while doing.
