Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year 2009, was both my Annus Horriblis and the year i discovered Maggies Centres.

2009 was the year i had to deal with the breakdown of my marriage, the very tragic death of my good friend and father-in-law, and when i discovered that i had Prostate Cancer!  A year of thinking about what's been important, and what need's to be important in the future.

Maggies Dundee, is very very important to me, and so i'm really proud to take part in this years Maggies 2010 Bike and Hike event.  Maggies has been a friend, counsellor and inspiration to me through a long period of desolation. They've reminded me, 'don't give up on the joy of living through the fear of dying'.

I hope therefore, that you can give a donation, as large as possible, and so that Maggies in Dundee, Maggies Kirkcaldy, and Maggies in all the other established places, and yet to come places, can help people like me. People coping with cancer! Please dig deep! http://www.justgiving.com/Bruce-Tasker

Donating through JustGiving is a simple process. It's fast, and very importantly it's secure. Your personal details are safe with JustGiving (they’ll never sell your details or send unwanted emails). Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Maggies and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So, an efficient and effective way to donate - just how I like it! With JustGiving I raise money for Maggies whilst saving time and cutting costs.

I truly hope you can help (big or small), and that i have the opportunity to meet up with you in 2010, in a happy, healthy and wise state.

Thanks so much for a donation - I appreciate it, hugely!  Maggies appreciates it, and the people who don't yet know that they'll have to cope with cancer will appreciate it.

Thanks so much.

Bruce
