My Brother-in-law Pete is only 62 and was diagnosed with Leukaemia nine years ago and then given six months to live. Now after five courses of chemotherapy and endless trips to hospital, Pete has been told there is nothing more that can be done for him and he only has a matter of months before inevitability arrives. This is my way of doing something for my family and for all other sufferers of this awful cancer. Just before Xmas, David Gilbrook, an actor who has helped us before on shows in Chesterfield was also diagnosed with Leukaemia a week before his proposed panto appearance. He is now about to have a bone marrow transplant and fighting as hard as he can to combat the disease.
I have seen very clearly how this dreadful cancer can shatter lives and cause all sorts of distress to those touched by it. Please give generously to a small charity that do a huge amount of good for the sufferers of Leukaemia as well as their families and friends.
