Story
Hi all,
Having just completed the Seville Marathon less than a month ago, I'm starting to believe I've been really bitten by the infamous "Runner's Bug" and here I go again for another race.
This will be a Half Marathon (21km) in Hackney and the event is looking to raise funds for the Cancer Research UK. Follow this link and let me know if you want to get involved too: http://www.ufdance.co.uk/events/unity_april_run_2013.shtml
This one is a special race for me as I've decided to run to try to raise a modest amount of funds for a charity that's very close to my heart. If you know me well enough you'll know how much drums, drumming and music means to me. J
The Musicians Benevolent Fund is a charity that supports musicians who play, sing or create all styles of music – from blues to Baroque, country to classical, folk to funk. Their support is tailored to each person, with financial assistance based on an assessment of needs:
• Musicians at the start of their careers who need support as they join the profession
• Musicians who hit a crisis, such as an illness or accident, during their working lives
• Musicians who are thinking about retirement, as well as those later on in their lives
I am very grateful that my parents always supported me to go after my dreams- even in difficult times- and I wonder how different my life would be today without it.
That said I believe everyone should also have the same opportunity so please give me a hand to assist our fellow musicians (and musicians to-be).
Many thanks for reading.
Best regards,
Bruno
