Story
On
3rd of May 2014 our friends the Brooks family received the worst
ever possible news, their beautiful 6 year old daughter Daisy was
diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor.
So on the 11th of
October 2014, Bryn Palmer, Sarah Gilbert, Adrian Davies , Lizzie Harris and Neil Bizley will compete to complete the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge in under 12 hours. We
aim to raise much needed funds for pioneering brain cancer research.
Daisy
travelled to Bristol in July for ground breaking brain surgery where Dr
Steven Gill and his pioneering team have been studying brain cancer for
10 years. All donations go direct to this team who are making huge
steps towards a cure for Daisy and other children in her position. The
results will also have an impact on other cancer treatments in the
future due to the unique techniques they have developed.
Money raised is already being used by the team and has enabled them to take on 2 more research specialists.
Further activities are planned so please keep donating so one day very soon children can be cured of DIPG.
While
you can donate on this page, feel free to join the team and raise what
you can for this amazing cause. Simply click on ‘join the team’, tell
everyone what you are doing to raise money, then share on Facebook or
email. Every penny helps and you can rest assured that the money does
not go towards paying for CEO salaries or advertising budgets, it goes
direct to the research team for DIPG Brain Cancer Research.
