LAA in the Channel · 6 September 2019

London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers advanced pre-hospital care to critically injured people in London. Your donation will help us save more lives by keeping our helicopter in the air and our rapid response cars on the road, ready for when they are needed most.

Story

One day in our window 6th - 12th September 2019 a team of us from London's Air Ambulance will be attempting to swim the English Channel.

Indeed we may have lost our minds cold water, a long distance, the world's busiest shipping lane and oodles of jellyfish but that won't stop us. There will be two pilot boats accompanying the two teams with 6 swimmers on each - we will swim for a minimum of one hour then 5hrs off until we make it to France!!! At the shortest point the crossing is 21miles but it is pretty fair to say that we will end up swimming a lot further given the tides etc.

London's Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London's most seriously injured patients. All the money raised will be going to the charity.
