Please help. I have less than a week to raise £1000! This Sunday (11th Oct) I am running a 10km race at Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire. It is a first - I don't think I have ever run anywhere near 10km before - in fact I am so unsporty I was always the last at school to get picked in PE and regularily used to climb through the hedge on the school cross country run!
The point is, it is all for a very good cause. My nephew Benjamin recently had his 3rd heart operation, he is 4 years old and has a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This is a highly complex condition that essentially means he lives with half a functioning heart. He is now home and doing well but I want to raise money for the charity that supports him and other children like him.Little Hearts Matter is a national charity which works to offer support and information, and raise awareness of those affected when a child has only half a heart. They are purely financed fundraising activities and occasional community grants. Support is much needed to allow the charity to continue helping these children lead a happy and fulfilling life.For anyone who hasn't used JustGiving before it is simple, fast and totally secure.
