Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Lucy and I decided that we needed a big challenge this year and thought the Bupa Great North Run would be a great opportunity to put our courage (and legs) to the test!

We are running for The Prince's Trust which is the UK's leading youth charity, supporting young people to change their lives. They help young people aged 13 to 30 to develop their confidence and skills, and to get into education, training and employment.

Since 1976, The Prince's Trust has helped over 650,000 disadvantaged young people and aims to help 50,000 more this year!

We have to raise £600 between us, so all contributions are very much appreciated to support the vital work of The Prince's Trust!

Donating on mine or Lucy's (http://www.justgiving.com/lucy-shoes-hornsby/) page is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Prince's Trust gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your donation at no extra cost to yourself.

We are also planning some fun-fundraising activities (which may involve cake), so please come along or get involved.  £600 is the minimum we need to raise but there is no limit so the more the better to support this great cause.

Thank you for your support and wish us luck!!
