Rog's Sleepout · 18 January 2019

We are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We help people out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

Story

Roger Clarke, a Partner with Buckles Solicitors, will forego
the warmth of his bed on the night of Friday 18 January and sleep outside to
raise money for homeless people.

As part of a firm-wide initiative to encourage staff to
develop their resilience and leadership skills, Roger has chosen to step
outside his comfort zone (his bed!) and, simultaneously, support Crisis, a
charity that helps homeless people.

To add to the challenge, Roger has chosen to complete his
‘sleepout’ in the depths of winter. Inspired by Roger’s initiative, he will be
joined (in body and spirit!) by 10 of his Buckles colleagues: Sarah James,
Alison Banerjee, Debbie Carnell, Duncan & Devon Jackson, Adrian Avory, Greg
McCusker, James Maxey, Angela Babb & Paul Gould.

For health and safety reasons, we have put a temperature
limit of -10C on the activity. If it falls below, we will reschedule for
another date.

Please dig deep and sponsor the Buckles team for Rog's
Sleepout - all proceeds to go to Crisis.

N.B. - We know it's only one night and therefore not the same
experience as being homeless, however it will give us a taste for the cold and
discomfort endured night after night by those unfortunate enough to not have a home.
