Story
We are a group of young volunteers are about to take a life-changing quest to transform an orphanage in Bulgaria and we are working hard to raise funds to help them buy the resources and materials we need. We will be in Bulgaria for 2 weeks, working at the Mezdra Orphanage and the experience will also help us to gain qualifications and skills and additional support to help us gain employment when we return (we are all currently unemployed).
The Home caters for approximately 68 children and young people aged 5 to 22. Most of the children have got both physical and mental disabilities. Those with light disabilities attend school in town; while the ones with severe difficulties are totally dependant on the care of the staff 24/7.

As well as spending time with the young people, we will also be working to renovate and brighten up the orphanage. This includes things like painting and decorating, fixing up the play equipment and cleaning up the garden area.
They would be very grateful for any support you, your family or friends could give to help them fundraise. If you can support the project, please donate and help make a difference.
Some of the group will be going to the House of Commons for an Award ceremony and a film is being produced about the project with a presentation and social evening to encourage other young people across Young Devon to get involved in future trips.
Thanks for your support
