Last year, thanks to your contributions, we raised £10,000 and with the help of the WHO, a vehicle was bought for the team to travel 100 to 250 km from Kumasi to the treatment centres weekly. This was a great achievement but we need to get treatment to more patients.
Please continue to support us in raising money to help the hundreds of children and adults who develop Buruli ulcer every year in Ghana. Early treatment can prevent disfiguring scars, permanent disability and even amputations.
In 2008, Sue and I rowed in the Pairs Head of the River race on a beautiful day in October and we came 3rd in our group with a very respectable time of 14 minutes 22 secs. It was a wonderful experience and we aim to do even better this year.
