Story

After months of training, the Buxton Cyclists (who meet and cycle the Surrey countryside every Thursday night after work), entered the Challenge Cancer London to Brighton Bike ride to raise funds for 'We Are Macmillan Cancer Support'.

On Sunday 27 September 2015, the team of 10 comprising: Greg Lynn, Bob Anderson, Steve Dowling, Dan Brown, Dan Nicholas, Toby Taylor, John Peckham, Chris Playfoot, Dan Jarvis and Buxton Bear set out on the 65 mile ride from Smithfield Market, London at 7.45 am to cycle to Hove.

It was a huge achievement for all involved and special congrats go to Bob and John who out of approx. 653  riders came joint 4th with a very impressive time of 4hours 49 minutes.  Also special thanks go to Dan Brown who took on the very important role of giving Buxton Bear a lift!
