Story

PLEASE NOTE: WALK ABANDONED (for now)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you know I was taking the famous Wainwright Coast to Coast walk between St Bee's in Cumbria and Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire for Cancer Research UK.

I made the first third of the route almost unscathed - until pain began to hit my left shin and around Patterdale it flared up very badly. I sought medical advice which revealed an infection that, despite antibiotics did not clear sufficiently or with any improved comfort.

Therefore I have reluctantly abandoned the walk and I will look to complete it in some way, shape or form in 2011.

My thanks to those who sponsored me, and if anyone wishes for their sponsor money to be returned please let me know.
